1. The journal welcomes submissions in Turkish, English, and Spanish.
  2. Submissions must not have been published elsewhere or be under consideration for publication in any other venue.
  3. Submissions undergo an initial review by the communication editor, who evaluates them based on the journal’s publication policy, objectives, and formatting standards. Manuscripts that do not comply with writing guidelines or that have language and expression issues are either rejected or returned to the author(s) for revision, based on feedback from the language editors.
  4. The similarity index of submissions, excluding references and citations, should not exceed 8%, provided there are no block similarities. Manuscripts exceeding this fourhold are automatically rejected by the communication editor.
  5. Articles meeting the first four criteria are reviewed by the assistant editors to assess their purpose, content, and originality. The journal editor has the final authority to accept or reject submissions for the peer-review process.
  6. Book reviews that meet the initial criteria are evaluated by the book review editor. Approved submissions are then forwarded to the editorial board for further publication evaluation.
  7. Manuscripts that pass the preliminary review are sent to at least two (or three, if necessary) referees for a double-blind peer review. The journal is committed to preventing conflicts of interest between authors, editors, and referees.
  8. Articles are reviewed by at least two expert referees with a doctoral degree from domestic or international institutions. Both referees must provide a positive evaluation for the manuscript to be accepted. If one referee rejects the article, the editor may either send it to a third referee or reject it outright.
  9. If at least one referee requests “major revisions”, the final decision rests with the journal editor in chief. The editor may reject the manuscript or return it to the author(s) for revision.
  10. Articles that successfully complete the peer-review process are submitted to the editorial board for a final decision, based on the editor’s recommendation.
  11. Approved manuscripts are placed in the publication queue.

Writing Guidelines

General Principles

  1. Submissions must adhere to scientific standards and be clear and comprehensible in terms of language and expression.
  2. Manuscripts should employ a rigorous academic methodology and style, engaging in an in-depth investigation and critical analysis of the subject matter.
  3. Titles should be appropriate to the topic, and no author information should be included in the file during the initial submission stage. Titles must be written in uppercase and bold, while subheadings should be bold with each word capitalized. Subheadings should be aligned with the preceding heading.
  4. Manuscripts should adopt a critical perspective, incorporating dialectical reasoning, and presenting arguments for and against the subject in a transparent manner. Instead of merely defining, narrating, or restating the opinions of others, authors are expected to contribute original insights and critical analyses.
  5. Book reviews should adhere to the journal’s formatting guidelines and range between 1,200 and 1,500 words. They should discuss the book's subject, purpose, and scope, highlighting its strengths and weaknesses rather than simply summarizing its content.
  6. Submitted articles should be between 8,000 and 10,000 words, including references. Manuscripts that exceed this limit will be returned to the authors without review.
  7. There is no formatting requirement for the initial submission. If the manuscript is accepted, the editing process will begin by the journal's formatting guidelines.
  8. Manuscripts should be formatted in Times New Roman, 12-point font, with 1.5 line spacing and 2.5 cm margins on all sides. Footnotes should be written in Times New Roman 10 font size and justified. Paragraphs should have a first-line indentation of 1.25 cm, with spacing of 3 pt before and after each paragraph. Text should be justified, with a binding margin of 0, header at 1.25 cm, footer at 4.5 cm, and page numbers cantered at the bottom.
  9. Manuscripts must include an abstract of 250–350 words in both Turkish and English, along with five keywords in each language. For articles in languages other than English, an “Extended Abstract” approximately 1000 words in English must be provided at the end.
